Five Point Checklist - Buyers Agent


You're ready to buy a home ... almost!

  1. Play with a mortgage calculator to get an idea of payment and price relationship.
  2. Look online at homes for sale.  Find what style of home and features you like.
  3. Physically explore neighborhoods to discover the areas would fit.
  4. Make note about your wants and needs. 
  5. Most important ... be sure that all decisions makers are up to speed!

Please be aware!  There are several issues that must be addressed before looking at homes, and there are important strategies you need to know before writing your offer.  Working with an inexperienced Buyers agent that will let you get started without a strategy meeting is just setting you up to fail. Work with an agent that will supply all the advantages and full real estate services.

1. Make an appointment to meet with Tom Perry.

2. Contact Kenton Becker of LandHome Financial.

3. Bring all your questions and concerns to our meeting.

Another one of the important real estate services is being able to explain and comfort a Buyer. Questions and concerns are the biggest factor that stops Buyers from winning in this market.  I have found that only when the Buyer understands the process, their financing and the protections in the purchase agreement can they move forward "Stress Free" and the from that point working with your Buyers agent is a fun process.

4. Use the NWMLS Search Portal daily

It's great that you are already using a search engine to find homes for sale.  You will use that site to discover more information about the properties that come to you through the NWMLS Portal from your buyers agent.  This portal is 1 of the real estate services you need to use.  It is in real time and is truly updated every 15 minutes.  It is the property search connection between you and your agent that may be the difference in finding the right home or not.  Watch a short video on using the  NWMLS Property Search Portal.

5. Be available to view possible properties.

Look at the available homes for sale as they come in and be ready to view those that are possibilities ASAP.  In any market, it is important to make quick decisions from an educated platform.  As your Buyers agent,  I ask that you follow my system. BY doing so, you will be so far ahead of most Buyers.  You will be able to confidently make quick decisions which could be the difference in mutual acceptance, closing and moving into the right home.
